Welcome to my knit blog, Fresh Off The Needles! I’m currently working to build content, patterns, etc for the blog, but here you can expect to find knitting and crochet inspiration, free patterns, vintage pattern findings, sewing stuff, and general talk of a more interior oriented side of homesteading. I often take a modern approach to these designs and crafts, and I love finding vintage patterns that fit in perfectly with todays aesthetics.Β

A bit about me – I taught myself out of books when I was around 11, I learned to knit first, and then picked up crochet shortly thereafter. I love both, for different projects of course. Lately crocheting has taken up a great deal of my time, but my love affair with knitting burns strongly and I miss my needles already! I find the history of these arts also extremely interesting, and I enjoy breaking the mould with my crochet projects – that is to say, I stay away from granny squares and odd colors. I like to create and perpetuate the beautiful, wearable, homey, and comfortable in crochet work. My husband and I often spend a great deal of time together picking out new yarns, color schemes, and patterns that we feel are both stylish and useful in day to day life. But, enough about me – tell me about you! Drop me a comment if you see this!

Take a look through my social media profiles to see some of my most recent yarn craft! I am already far more established there than I am on here (but that is sure to change soon!) There’s so much more to come, and I hope to see you along the way πŸ’‹
